Projects Overview
A comprehensive view of all company projects, quotes, and their current statuses.
The Projects Overview page serves as the master directory for all projects and quotes that have ever existed within your company. It provides a straightforward interface, allowing you to quickly locate, filter, and initiate new work.
Viewing and Filtering
The main table lists your company's historical and current projects and quotes. To help you navigate this comprehensive list, several tools are available at the top of the page:
- Search Bar: Quickly look up a specific project or quote by entering its name.
- Status Filters: Narrow down the list based on the current lifecycle stage of the work. You can filter by:
- Quote: Work currently in the estimation or proposal phase.
- Active: Projects that are currently in progress.
- Complete: Finished projects.
- Archived: Older projects that have been stored away for record-keeping.
- Client Filter: Isolate the view to only show projects and quotes associated with a specific client.
Note: You can easily customize the visual representation of your projects by clicking on the icon in any project row to modify it.
Initiating New Work
In the top right corner of the page, you have two primary actions for introducing new work into the system: Create Quote and New Project.
New Project
Use the New Project button when a formal quoting process isn't required. This is ideal for:
- Projects that have already received client approval.
- Time and Expense (T&E) projects that do not require an upfront estimate.
- Adding existing, in-progress projects directly into the system, bypassing the quote phase entirely.
The initial project creation pop-up is kept intentionally simple so you can get the project into the system quickly. You will be able to configure more granular details later on the specific project's dedicated page.
Create Quote
Use the Create Quote button when you need to build out an estimate before work begins. Similar to project creation, the initial pop-up is streamlined. Once you complete this quick initial step, you will immediately be taken to a dedicated quote page to build out the full details, line items, and pricing.
